Luxury Penthouse Interior Design

The project aims at the complete renovation of an exclusive penthouse in Dakar, developed on two levels. The intervention adopts a refined industrial style, reinterpreted in a modern key and tailored to meet the owner's requests and lifestyle. The architectural approach seeks the essence of an enveloping "loft", capable of restoring an elegant and exquisitely contemporary atmosphere.

The common thread defining the aesthetic of the entire home is a bold mix of material contrasts. Deliberately "raw" materials, such as concrete, wood, and iron, harmoniously interact with "luxurious" elements like marble and brass details. Among the essential ingredients of the project are walls and ceilings treated with raw finishes, clearly visible in the grey material texture that forms the backdrop for the living and sleeping areas. This aesthetic choice is combined with warm, saw-cut wooden flooring that continuously spans the spacious areas of the house.

The design concept strongly embraces the philosophy of lighting design to maximize both natural and artificial light. The XL volumes of the living area are flooded with light through large, full-height windows. For artificial lighting, the aim was to achieve sophisticated and distinct situations within the same environment: large dark metal dome chandeliers fluidly descend over tables and relaxation areas, while elegant cylindrical pendant lights and recessed LED light strips enhance the wooden headboard wall in the bedroom.
